Trigonometry - Trigonometric Identities.
Summary of strategy.
To prove Trigonometric identities, use the following strategy as discussed in the video:
| Step 1. | Always start with the more complex side. Once you have chosen a start point, write down LHS = (or RHS as relevant). |
| Step 2. | Look for any of the Pythagorean relationships and use them as appropriate. |
| Step 3. | Change all terms to become functions of SIN and COS. Often you can remove a term of "1" by using these results. |
| Step 4: | Combine any fractions through a common denominator. |
| Step 5: | Smile when you get the result but after you write "= RHS". |
